"This Point, On" is a collection of recordings from different points in time using a generative synthesis patch built in Max/MSP. It exists as an interactive installation piece that uses motion detection from a webcam based in a university courtyard to create and manipulate sounds.

The patch uses the time of day, as well as month/day/year information, to select pitches, detune, pitch-shift, and filter the audio. This recording uses past, present, and future times that are not possible with the installation to create an hour-long listening experience.
